Sub floor vents and venting kits circulate air under a building or in a wall cavity to reduce moisture problems. Kits can be further extended with additional ducting if required. Vents are available in different sizes and materials including stainless steel and galvanised steel and come with our without mesh. They are ideal for compliance with NCC 2022 6.2.1 regulations. Increasingly they are being used for NCC 2025 10.8.1 to ventilate the wall cavity under the new Condensation Management provisions. Mesh models are BAL-40 bushfire complaint.
Sub floor venting is critical for homes that are built on stumps and increasingly for homes built on concrete slabs. Without adequate circulation, moisture and mold can do expensive damage to a property. Alpine Ventilation has both sub floor venting kits and sub floor vents to assist.
Kits come with an axial fan (150 or 200mm) plus an aluminium wall vent, ducting, timer, clamps, duct tape and hanging tape for installation.
Sub floor vents come in multiple sizes, stainless steel or galvanised steel construction, mesh and non-mesh – and some additionally have a hood for added weather protection. There are versions for brick walls as well as weatherboard and cladded walls.
